Semester 1: August 24th-December 22nd, 2026

  • There's something special about making things for yourself, your family, and your home. In this hands-on class, students in grades K–5 will explore the timeless arts of homemaking: cooking simple recipes, learning to sew and mend, tending a small herb garden, crafting things for their living spaces, and discovering the creativity woven into everyday life.

Rooted in the belief that home skills are life skills, Home Ec invites children to slow down, use their hands, and make something they can be proud of. Each week brings a new skill and a new project, drawing on traditions from many cultures while finding fresh and artistic ways to express them.

By the end of the semester, every student will leave with a collection of handmade objects, a thriving herb plant, and the confidence that comes from knowing how to make, fix, and care for the things around them.
