Opening August 8 | Wooder Ice: Group Art Show
A group show celebrating the intimate acts of joy that survive the heat of adversity.
Wooder Ice brings together a taste of artists, emerging creatives, and established commentators to portray the joy and struggle that defines Philadelphia.
Wooder Ice proposes a tender and radical exploration of the dichotomy of summertime in Philadelphia as both a joyful time of passage and grappling with real issues like global warming, social injustice, violence, housing inequity, and more.
Through painting, photography, and multimedia installation, Wooder Ice becomes a container for dreaming and remembering— a celebration of the radical power of youth, the wisdom of elders, and the intimate acts of joy that survive even in the heat of adversity.
It's not a retreat from reality, but a reimagining of what’s possible when communities come together with intention, creativity, and love.
Wooder Ice is a call to slow down, to feel deeply, to listen across generations — and to build something softer, sweeter and stronger in the place we call home.
