Class Description:

Over this 6-week journey, instructor Katherine Perry (Shakespeare in Clark Park, Revolution Shakespeare) will guide students through the wild, witty world of Shakespeare. You’ll dig into monologues and scenes, crack open the text, and bring these characters roaring to life onstage. Participants may also have the opportunity to join the onstage company of Shakespeare in Clark Park's summer production in July 2026!

Teacher Info:

katherine perry is an actor, improviser, educator, director, creative engine, and professional fool. They have been a company member with Shakespeare in Clark Park since 2023 and have worked on and offstage with As You Like It and A Bottom's Dream.

Katherine strives to create work that creates positive disruption - diverse and inclusive storytelling told with bodies that look like the community, and shared with audiences that also look like the community, every part. This storytelling is not limited to the stage. In every facet of our lives - personally, professionally, socially - we present a story of ourselves and the communities we are part of. We all deserve to be seen, respected, to feel that we belong (because we do), and to have our stories heard.
