Time Management for Artists & Creatives: Organize Your Art and Your Life (Winter)
WINTER: JANUARY 5 - FEBRUARY 22
Dates: 1/24, 1/31, 2/7
Time: 12 PM - 2 PM
Class Description:
A practical, results-focused workshop designed to help artists protect their creative time while staying on top of deadlines, proposals, and the business side of their work. Over three weeks, participants will learn how to design a realistic weekly schedule, break down large projects like exhibitions and commissions into manageable steps, and create simple systems for tracking opportunities, meetings, and commitments. The “medium” for this class is time itself—paired with tools like calendars, planners, and project trackers (digital or paper, depending on preference). Techniques explored include goal-setting for creative projects, milestone planning, and developing personal routines that reduce stress and increase productivity. The overall goal is for each participant to leave with a personalized 30-day action plan and a system they can continue using to balance their art practice with professional responsibilities.
Teacher Info:
Janet M. Taylor is a Life Organization Strategist and speaker with over 30 years of experience helping individuals, creatives, and organizations streamline their time, spaces, and systems. Featured on HGTV’s Mission: Organization and The Rachael Ray Show, Janet is known for turning overwhelming schedules and cluttered workflows into clear, achievable plans. Her creative practice focuses on empowering artists and makers to balance their studio work with the business side of their craft—so they can meet deadlines, grow their careers, and protect their creative flow.
