Class Description:
You’ve finished a short story, essay, or poem, but what’s the next step? Publishing in literary magazines is a great way to get to know other writers and editors while getting your own work recognized. Over the course of six weeks, learn about what literary magazines are, how to submit to them, how to work with editors, and how to prepare your piece for submitting.

Kimberly Rooney 高小荣 is a Chinese-American adoptee from Jiangsu Province. They are a creative nonfiction editor at Sundog Lit and a 2022 Best of the Net nonfiction finalist. Their writing critically engages with adoption, climate crisis, and capitalism, and has appeared in The Offing, Waxwing, SAND Journal, Barrelhouse, and Longleaf Review, among others. They currently live in Philadelphia on Lenni-Lenape land with their cat, Toaster.
