Class Description:
Join Jo Gamel, award-winning international still life artist, in this approachable course designed to help you create beautiful art with ease. Whether you're new to painting or looking to refine your skills, Jo's passion and expertise will guide you step by step. In this fun and relaxed environment, you’ll learn to paint stunning still lifes of plants, snacks and seashells, capturing the vibrant colors and textures of summer. This course is all about discovering your creative side, capturing your summer energy, and building confidence in your ability to create something you’re proud of. You can bring your own plant and seashell, or enjoy the options that are provided!
Medium and Techniques: Working with beginner-friendly paints on canvas, you’ll learn essential techniques like mixing colors, creating shadows, and adding texture. Jo’s easy-to-follow guidance will help you feel comfortable with brushes and tools, and you’ll quickly see your confidence grow as you create your own masterpiece.
Class Goals: By the end of the course, you’ll have a finished still life painting that reflects your unique connection to summer. You’ll walk away with new skills and the confidence to continue painting on your own, whether you’re continuing as a hobbyist or looking to take your art to the next level.
